biography and offer
The BOVISA STRING BAND project was born on 1981 from the idea of Cesare Zacchi (actual Band leader) to build a common sharing base between friends about folk and country music.

However, traditional bluegrass music and related matters were taking place rapidly in our hearts so that we drove soon efforts and enthusiasm in building our own traditional bluegrass band. To reach this target we had to improve our knowledge about several instruments and related styles looking for the available material produced by great bluegrass musicians like Bill Monroe, Earl Scruggs, Doc Watson…and so on!
The actual musicians are playing together in the band since 1992 living a lot fun experiences such as some TV and Radio Show. Dobro, 5 strings Banjo, Guitar, Fiddle, Upright bass and Mandolin are the main acoustic instruments we use, thanks to them you can hear a really nice traditional sound.

Our show is composed by a large repertoire of bluegrass, country and gospel songs being for this reason suitable for different events like BBQs, “theme party”, pub’s live music show, social/cultural meeting etc.

 If necessary we can add at our offer also the Sound System Set  (mixer, microphones, speakers etc) to meet specific location requirement.
